UFC: Fight For The Troops 2
UFC: Fight for the Troops 2, also referred to as UFC Fight Night 23, was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on January 22, 2011 at Fort Hood, near Killeen, Texas. On January 18, Dana White announced that the UFC would be streaming the McKenzie/Edwards and Johnson/Guymon fights for free on their official Facebook page. However, on the night of the fights, UFC.com officials announced that four prelims would show, adding the Freire/Lowe and Brown/Yahya fights. A lightweight bout between Cole Miller and Matt Wiman, which was originally scheduled to take place at UFC 125, was moved to this event. The bout between Kenny Florian and Evan Dunham was expected for UFC 126, but was moved to this card to serve as the main event.

Courtney Scott McGee was born on December 12, 1984. He is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the middleweight division. Court McGee was also the winner of the Ultimate Fighting Championship's eleventh season of The Ultimate Fighter in 2010, winning the competition on June 19, 2010. n March 2010, McGee was announced as part of the eleventh season of The Ultimate Fighter. In the elimination round, McGee narrowly defeated Seth Baczynski after going to a sudden victory round. McGee was later picked by Chuck Liddell as his sixth pick and twelfth overall. McGee defeated McCray by submission in the second round with a rear naked choke, making him the winner of the Ultimate Fighter Season 11. Court was also awarded the Submission of the Night award.

Shane Carwin is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he was previously the UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion. He won his first 12 MMA fights in the first round which led to his Heavyweight Championship shot at UFC 116 against champion Brock Lesnar, which became his first career loss. As of August 11, 2010, he was ranked as the #6 heavyweight fighter in the world by Sherdog.
